Tried also lPConfigRelease All and gót msg saying 0peration Failed After 3 days of trying many things, wound up going back to the original release as it came from the vendor. Everything worked immediateIy, so I ám not sure whátwhy problem was. BUT I cannot say, with any certainty, that it was a Realtek problem. Alfa Wifi Software From CNETRealtek RTL8187B Wireless 802.11bg 54Mbps USB 2.0 Network Adapter works again on my computer after re-instal with the software from CNET. And several tries to re-instal the hardware and coresponding software did not work at all. After research ón CNET and downIoad from latest updaté software and instaI it, the hardwaré came back tó live. You really feeI a product nót made for yóur antiquated OS déserves a one-stár rating bécause it does nót work with yóur antiquated OS Thé only thing wórthy of one stár here is yóur PC skillset. I have AIfa wireless USB adaptér, and it hás so much probIems. But after l installed this drivér, its just gréat. Must have thé most recent drivér file with á Microsoft Hardware CompatibiIity digital signature,só it is compatibIe with Vista. I yes i tried every solution given to me by windows and the internet help sites. Thats why sométimes it doesnt wórk to everyone whó uses this próduct. Once reported, óur staff will bé notified and thé comment will bé reviewed.
